Terms of Service

1. Parties and Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") define the agreement between you ("User") and the operator of Mapsgram ("Service"), Mapsgram.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Service Description

Mapsgram is a map-based social media app:

• 24–48 hour story sharing at the venue you are at
• Messaging with friends (DM)
• Venue discovery and recommendations
• Anonymous aggregate demographic statistics

The Service is provided "as is". Mapsgram does not warrant functionality, availability, or the absence of bugs.

3. Account

3.1 Account creation

• You sign in with your Google account
• You must be at least 13 years old
• You are responsible for providing accurate and current information
• One person can open one account

3.2 Account security

You are responsible for the security of your Google account. Notify us at kadir.yetis@mapsgram.com if you detect unauthorized access.

3.3 Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account, or follow the web instructions. Data is irreversibly removed.

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

All stories, photos, videos, messages, comments, and other content you upload ("User Content") belong to you. Mapsgram does not claim ownership.

4.2 License you grant to Mapsgram

For the Service to operate, you grant Mapsgram a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:

• Store content (Cloudflare R2)
• Display (per your privacy settings)
• Process (preview, resize, filter)
• Back up

This license terminates when you delete your account.

4.3 Content responsibility

You are responsible for your content. Content you post must comply with the law and must not infringe on others' rights.

4.4 Prohibited content

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Hate speech, discrimination, harassment
• Violence, terrorism propaganda
• Sexual content (especially involving minors — zero tolerance)
• Copyright infringement
• Spam, fraud
• Sharing others' private information without consent (doxxing)
• Malware

In case of violation, content is removed without warning, and your account may be suspended or deleted.

5. Code of Conduct

• Harassing or threatening other users is prohibited
• Fake accounts and impersonation are prohibited
• Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) is prohibited
• Overloading Mapsgram infrastructure is prohibited
• Collecting other users' data without consent is prohibited
• Sending ads or spam links is prohibited

6. Location Data

The Service uses precise GPS location. For details, see the Privacy Policy.

7. Premium and Sponsored Venues

• Premium membership (future): Ad-free use, unlimited AI queries. Payment via Google Play Billing.
• Sponsored venues: Businesses pay to be highlighted in listings. Clearly labeled as "Sponsored".

8. Third-Party Services

Mapsgram uses the following third-party services: Google Maps SDK, Google Places API, Ticketmaster, Cloudflare R2, Expo Push. Their own terms apply.

9. Intellectual Property

• The Mapsgram brand, logo, design, and code belong to Mapsgram
• Unauthorized copying, derivative works, and reverse engineering are prohibited

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Mapsgram is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages
• Total liability is limited to fees paid by you in the last 12 months (if you use the free version, this is $0)
• Mapsgram is not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or third-party actions

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Mapsgram for violations of the Terms, law, or third-party rights.

12. Termination

12.1 By you

You can delete your account at any time.

12.2 By Mapsgram

If you violate the Terms, Mapsgram may suspend or delete your account without notice.

12.3 Service discontinuation

Mapsgram may discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice.

13. Dispute Resolution

• Governing law: Laws of the Republic of Türkiye
• Jurisdiction: Courts and Enforcement Offices of Istanbul
• Dialogue first: Before going to court, please email kadir.yetis@mapsgram.com

14. General Provisions

• Severability: If any clause is invalid, the rest remains valid
• Waiver: Failing to enforce a right does not mean waiving it
• Entire agreement: These Terms + Privacy Policy constitute the complete agreement
• Changes: Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification
